GTO 52 Engine Cylinder Adjustment

Which is the correct method for adjusting the cylinders of a GTO 52 engine?

First, measuring the plate cylinder with the blanket cylinder.
Is it measured with a 0.50 filler when the cylinders are operating in the off-pressure mode?

And measuring the blanket cylinder with the impression cylinder?
Is it also measured with a 1mm filler when the cylinders are not operating in the compression mode?

Second, measuring the plate cylinder with the blanket cylinder?
Is it measured with a 0.10 filler when the cylinders are operating in the compression mode?

And measuring the blanket cylinder with the impression cylinder?
Is it also measured with a 0.35 filler when the cylinders are operating in the compression mode?

Which is the correct method?

Checking/setting plate to blanket requires more of a process than you mentioned in either option, blanket to impression is .35 on impression.

This measurement indicates that the cylinders are under pressure.

What is the pressure ratio between the plate and the cover?

    Are they also under pressure?

You can’t check plate blanket bearer pressure on GTO, you must go through the complpsetting procedure which is a bit involved for someone who has no experience. Where are you going with this? If the image is broken up, have you checked the cylinder bodies with a dial indicator to verify they are not caved.

Not the documents I always referred to, but looks to be good information.
