Can any one help with the following problem.
When running gold or silver and long runs of blue i get a light band about 15cm from grip across the whole sheet and about 15cm down sheet. the press is a gto52 printmaster with ddi dampening.

    Hi,

Are you getting any ink emulsification on the dampers at all.
How wide is the light band from that 15cm start point.

    Regards.

Hi, dampening is fine no emulsifying on rollers. Rollers are all fine and settings checked.
The band or ghosting stops about 20cm down the sheet, ie the last 12cm on an sra3 sheet is fine. The band is about 12 cm wide and all accross sheet. Having looked at a sheet closely the ghosting does start from the grip this is clear to see on the blanket but not on a printed sheet, the printed sheet shows it between 10-20 cm down. Hope that makes sense. Thanks

    Hi,

Is the problem still there if you pull a dry solid with inking rollers only. (and with dampers disconnected)

    Regards.
