    dear sir
We have a sm 52 /2 colours n some times we run light grammage paper 60/70/80 gsm and cards 250/300 gsm as well
When we shift from card to paper we encounter wastage n running problems
A Mechanic told me that grippers needed time to adjust n it’s better if I run the machine on a certain grammage only
Use another machine for cards 250 gsm etc
    Any suggestions please
    Thanks

    Dear Sir,
I used to print at this press different types of materials without problems.
0.05- 0.40 mm is the range I used to print.
As the colleagues said we need more description about your problem.
    Good luck.

    Hi sir:

    Please observe:

The presses equipped with CP TRONIC are provided with an encoder HW1 allowing to read the exact degree values on the press display MID.

Not longer need the graduate disc . The new degree values for all printing units are related to printing unit I. The encoder HW <1> IS MOUNTED on the shaft of the register feed drum on operator's side in printing unit I.

The enconder HW1 converts one press revolution( =360*) into 1024 parts. An optical sensors register the signals and transforms them into electrical pulses. The computer board REK2 in the electronic control system evaluates the pulses converting them in the speed, expressed in sheets per hour, and into the degree value. The speedd or the degree value appear in the press display MID with the operating modes.

P22 is a hydraulic pressure fault in your perfector. So the system is sensing more than 10 bar of pressure while running then it's shutting down. It could be faulty sensor or there is too much pressure building up in the intensifier.

    Dear sir
Thanks for your reply the techinician cleared the error n we were able to run the machine for 4/5 days without this error coming back
But it came back again today , this techician says that maybe the pincer gripper was not positioned properly when it was removed n fixed back by the other technician
But he refuses to acknowledge the reply u have given me on the faulty sensor or too much pressure on the perfector
Here in Africa these guys try to fool you to get money out of the printers . So sir what should I tell him . Pls advice sir
    Thanks

If you look in your operator manual in the faults section you will see that P22 is a perfector hydraulic pressure fault.
If you have never experienced this fault before and he changed the cam followers there is a good chance the tech put too much pressure on the segment clamp bolts thus creating to much back pressure in the hydraulics. This normally happens when the machine runs a while and heats up. You can check this by the length of the piston in the intensifier to see if there is too much oil in the system. Your tech should know how to do this if he has a Heidelberg press background.

    Dear sir
Ball bearing ok I think ink has gone into the support for the roller. We lube it with oil but it’s still not moving up n down freely. Looks jammed I think. Mechanic needs to remove it
    and clean it very well
    Please suggest
    Thanks

    Dear Sir,
If you have a jamming issues, then follow what Chock said.
But I prefer to check the pneumatic cylinder for any damage:
    1) Form rollers ON, OFF lays at the O.S under the plastic cover, and have 4 hoses.
    2) Dampening system ON,OFF have 2 pneumatic cylinders, opposite to each others, lay beside the distributor cylinder in the frame from inside.
    Good luck.
