Flexible packaging are printed using flexography or rotogravure method. My question is that whether printed surface needs a lamination to protect it or or they use some glossy or matte coating to finish the substrate.? Is coating is a ink? Can clear glossy or matte coating applied using a printer which prints the substrate or is applied using separate machine?
