Does anyone know of a cheat sheet or a guide for feeding, which suckers to use and when. I'm starting to get the hang of it (sometimes painfully) but could use something in writing vs being thrown into the frying pan There are so many types of suckers, flat, cupped, etc and then there's the different colors lol, , hard to know which ones to use on different stocks #50 text to 24pt. Then there's the different types of the metal hold downs.

Sorry for delayed response.....vacation. All the presses are SpeedMaster CD102. As far as the feeder goes, I think is stock (typical one the comes with press). As far as paper goes, we use anything from #50 uncoated text to 24pt C2S. There are so many suckers, flat (white, red, pink) then cupped (accordion) (clear, brown, blue) and the metal separators at the feeder (single and double rectangular, the triangle- pointy ones, then the 4 prong fork type. And then the hold downs near the 1st unit. There's gotta be an some sort of idiots guide for beginners. lol Either way it's a learn as you go, just want it to be less painful.

The speedmasters I use are 1996, 2001, and 2004 CD 102 6+L (one is a LX) This is what I have to work with.......then there's 6+ sheet hold downs going into headstop

The pink and white are good for 50# text to 80# cover you can use the 4prong hold down with those sucker blast and foot air halfway. The larger size sucker is for card stocks.use the heavier multi layer hold down . more air at blowers and foot. Ps the plaque on press .shows what the manufacturer recommend.note the amount of sheets being separated/suckers tilted ,and sheet thickness
