feeder problems....

This might be obvious but have you cleaned the eyes on the front lays. feeder clutch might be sticking maybe
 
  • It's, as KGM says, usually the front cells. Even though they may look clean use a cotton bud with a little IPA and swab carefully. Other possible cause could be the delivery bottom limit switch not returned to position.
     
    It could be any of a number of limit switches such as the one that prevents upward thrust of the feed pile located near the crank handle by the feeder head. Either of the other upward limit switches could have intermittent or faulty contacts. If you haven't yet done so, turn of the power and check them with an ohm meter.

    Another method is to get the press with feeder running and gently tap on these switches to see if you can reproduce the problem.
