Feeder Issue

Having a problem with the feeder on our SM 102. It will randomly start feeding sheets after stopping when we make a pull to check registration. Basically trips off and starts randomly. Any help would be appreciated.

Quite odd. Do the "feeder on" and "paper run" buttons illuminate?

Yes, Both are on when it happens. It's a very sporadic occurrence but happens quite often.

Do you anti static eleminator on your machine? If yes, switch it OFF and RUN and PRINT without that.

We don't have a static eliminator. At times I wish we did.

What about the push buttons? Have you checked them? You need to check both on Feeder and Delivery panels. And also on CPTRONIC. I have had some issues with them.

One more thing. When you say it is random, I'm assuming "Paper Run" button on CPTRONIC has a problem. Once you select "Feeder", then you may face this issue.

Check your pre inkling program ink up and sheet run if on turn off in cp tronic

To all that posted replies, I thank you. It turns out that the vacuum pump was malfunctioning and there was a suction problem with the pick up suckers. Thanks again for your input. Cheers
