A customer has asked how long a full colour print will last that has been printed on a Xerox700 using 350gsm Colotech Silk. The print will be framed and hung on a wall. What are the effects of daylight/sunlight/artificial light?? Thanks

not sure about the lightfastness of digital printing inks, but I can tell you that traditional sheetfed offset inks can be purchased that offer longer periods of resistance to fade. Its the magenta and yellow that usually pose a problem. The problem is, that its recommended ,that if your shooting for high fade resistance ,that you use the entire 4c set. This can get expensive, and its been my experience that the lightfast inks sets don't print all that well.
