Eurocutter 1380 Display AD Clamp Troubles

Hi All,
Over the past year or so, our shop has been having trouble with one of our Eurocutter 1380 AD trimmers. It seems that the clamp loses pressure for a short time DURING the cut!
This, of course, wrecks a lift of paper, and since we are a short-run shop often the whole job goes in the recycling!
Eurocutter Germany and our local tech are stumped, as it is a very intermittent thing. One repair shop I've contacted has a machine with a similar failure but has yet to find the fix.
Has anyone had a similar experience and managed to fix it?
