Epson 9600 Dripping

Hi everyone,

I bought a used Epson Stylus 9600 to use in sublimation workflow. Possibly the worst mistake I've ever made. I never ended up switching the inks over because it has never worked properly since I bought it.

After an initial cleaning I ran a large file through to see how the heads were doing as it had been sitting in the guy's house unused for 4 years. The print test returns with mostly dropouts... cleaning cycles dont fix anything. When printing, cyan pools on the head and drips off onto the paper leaving huge blobs that roll down.

I imagine the head is so clogged that the cyan is just bunching up and getting out what little area is still free.

I figured a full flush and soaking would clear up that problem.

Flushed and reset all inks, soaked the head 3 times. No luck.

Any ideas or previous experience with such a problem?

Advice would be greatly appreciated.

Best,
Ben
