Friends, I am running Ricohs C7100's and C5100's. For some time now, I have been battling with DIRTY BACGROUND on the white areas of my prints. It is like the entire background is stained with tiny speckles of all the CMYK Colors and sometimes with just a few Colors. I have tried everything like, changing the PCU cleaning units; changing drums; changing belt cleaning units; changing developer and nothing works. I want to know if anyone else had this issue and what they did to fix it? I am not thinking that it can be a temperature issue.

  • I have a issue with our white toner. We have a ricoh c7100 with the 5th color station and have never used it, but are trying to print white. Everything in the setting is set for white, color drum and toner set correctly, however when we print we get nothing. We've tried to flood the page with "White" spot color and the sheets are coming out blank.

Can someone point me in the direction to resolve this?

I realize this thread is 2.5 years old but wondering if the OP ever found a solution to the problem. Our Ricoh C7110SX has the EXACT same issue. The background noise started slowly about a year ago and was fixed by decreasing the max density in user settings. But we are now at Max Density -5 and the pages are still coming out DIRTY, just as described in OP's post...if you look with a magnifying glass, it is a random smathering of CMY color dots. We have also changed out the entire PCDU units, new developer, drums, drum cleaners, ITB, image transfer rollers, PTR, ITB cleaner, fiddled with transfer voltages and PCU potential settings...nothing. Ricoh has a service bulletin for dirty background. Followed all those steps. Nada. We also re-installed the Fiery software from scratch. Nothing changes the problem. However, if you print in Grayscale, the issue goes away. Paper comes out clean, no dirty background. But use color, and you get a dirty page.

  • Not yet....we have even played with temperature and humidity. The manual states that 73.4 F and 50% relative humidity is the desired temp/humidity for the Ricoh C7110SX. That's what we keep our room at. So we went with low temp/low humidity (65F/30%), then high temp/high humidity (80F/60%), then low temp/high humidity (65F/60%) and finally high temp/low humidity (80F/30%)...no change, the problem persists. We did that just to rule out any environmental problems like temp or humidity settings in our room.

3011 1'den başlayarak tüm modları SP MODE'da çalıştırın. Herhangi bir hata verip vermediğini kontrol edin ve ilk testi yapmayı veya tekrar kopyalamayı deneyin. This is an old message but I wanted to write it because I haven't seen any results on whether it has been resolved or not.
