Direct to substrate

Hello,

We are a engraving/signage company looking to get in to UV direct to substrate printing.

Our conundrum is this:

We have found a near new Chinese WER epson 7880 based UV printer locally for a very enticing price. We are also consdering the Roland lef 20 and the GoVivid series of UV printers.

There are the obvious concerns with the Chinese unit, as you could imagine our hesitations on that.

The Roland and the Go Vivid are 4-5x the price but also offer the safety and modern features that are interesting to us.

The Roland and Vivid can do things like gloss curing or matte curing the existing inks. I dont think the epson can do that stuff, and the AcroRip software seems very limiting for UV printing.

The epson is 60x20", the versa is 24x48 and the roland is smallest with no passthrough.
