When Printing Covers A Third Of The Way Up There Is A Cyan Streak Going Through Our Covers Almost Like A Crayon Mark...
Changed The Dev,Changed The 8-Wire, Changed The Charge,Cleaned The PR Unit,Cleaned The Cleaning Blade, Cleaned The Pinscorotron,Cleaned The Discorotrons & Nothing Wouldnt Go...
Only Really Shows Up On the Cyan Covers Themselves.
Cleaned The Cleaning Tab Inside The Dev Unit Too... Dont Know What Else To Do :/

A streak like you described sounds more like it is rubbing against something vs all of the parts that you replaced. Does the streak run in the process direction? Is it on every sheet, on both sides or just one side? I would look if it lines up with the stripper fingers or in the fuser area. Can you flip the media over and see if it still shows up? If the mark is a random streak then I would guess that the Cyan ink isn't being removed from the developer unit properly and is spitting or dumping the toner all over. Pull out the Cyan unit and check to see if there is a pool of Cyan ink under where the unit was.

There is also a template that you can run that shows every contact point that the media encounters during the run. It helped me out a lot. You should be able to find it in the samples or diagnostic sheets on the rip. I forget what it is called but check another post of mine, I have specific info on the name and location of the file.

  • I would bet, as Stiv said, something is rubbing it.
