Sad. I know someone predicted this on the forum a while back. Still sad.

Bankruptcy is not the end of the road. It could signal a metamorphosis and force the company to adapt to a context that reflects the reality of the industry.

Technically, insolvency is slightly different from bankrupcy. Manroland has filed for insolvency so far. Although it is business as usual, it is putting a strain on their ability to process part orders in a timely manner. Control Graphics USA has seen a slight increase in calls for parts from new customers. Hard to tell at this point if it is only temporary.

You´re right, in Germany insolvency seems to be equal to ch.11 in US. manroland got a "Massekredit" of 55Mio €, money to force the business.
KBA is in contact with the judge, like others too. But worldwides overcapacity is the main problem. It´s a big question too, if manroland got the power to attend at Drupa May 2012.
