What is the correct measurement between the print cylinder holder and cover cylinder holder when separating the print and during printing?
And where is the side pressure indicator located when measuring?

There are more than one specialized technician with different opinions.
Some say to set the side gauge to 0, then measure between the print cylinder holder ring and the blanket cylinder holder with a 0.50 filler.
Then, between the blanket cylinder holder ring and the lower cylinder holder ring, measure with a 1 mm filler.

This measurement should be used for all cylinders without printing.

Others say to set the side gauge to 0, then measure between the print cylinder holder ring and the blanket cylinder holder with a 0.10 filler. All cylinders should be in the printing state.
Then, between the blanket cylinder holder ring and the lower cylinder holder ring, measure with a 0.35 filler.
Which is more accurate for the manufacturer's factory settings?

.035 on impression, adjust pressure until a firm drag on both feeler gauges, set pointers to “0”.

  • Blanket to impression pressure adjustment is relatively easy, no special tooling involved. Just do as I instructed in my last post.

There are maintenance manuals for all machines, but I’m not sure where you could acquire them in digitized form. Mine were all in binders.

Is there a website that has all the repair, maintenance and malfunction catalogs for Heidelberg machines?

Probably not, as all maintenance manuals are proprietary information and anyone posting them may be subject to legal action. You may check EBay to see if there’s something available there

But these repair and maintenance guides are purchased. I remember that there was a site that had a repair and maintenance guide for a sum of money, but I do not remember this site.

I, too, recall seeing that, but I don’t remember the site name. I did a quick search but can’t find anything.
