Color Drop Off on Roland 505

    I am at a customer giving instruction on LED-UV. I see when they let the press sit for 5 or 10 minutes upon restart the colors drop off 20 points and it takes 300 sheets for the color to get back. I don't have any experience with this press but the other presses here are Heidelbergs and don't have this problem. Can someone point me in the right direction to troubleshoot. There are no obvious issues present.

    either the ink is drying too fast on the rollers or roller -water settings are out leave the press on crawl and spray lightly
    check rollers uv inks can dry rapidly

    Spikeboy Thanks for the response it turn out they were manually dropping the damps for 10 seconds to remove the plate gum.
    Totally unnecessary!
