    Hi sir
The chrome dampening battery cylinder is used to simultaneously wet the offset plate, promoting uniform ink distribution during printing. The chrome coating provides a smooth, wear-resistant surface, helping to maintain print quality over time.
    Good luck

    Hello Mayur Ji,
    Hope you are Doing Great.
I assume you are Talking About Plate, Blanket and Impression Cylinders.
Normal Plate and Blanket Cylinders Catch Rust in Few Years because of Continues Supply of Water(Dampening Solution) from Dampening Unit. which Leads to Registration Issue on Some areas. Where Chrome Cylinders are Hard to Rust Up, If you do Regular Cleaning.

Normal Impression Cylinder is Having a Major Issue of Size Reducing, Lets Assume you are having a 20"x28" Machine and you are continuously Printing 18"x23" Paper, So this on the Both Side (1") of Cylinder is Reduced by 30-800 Microns(Few Times you can Feel it by Hands as well), and same with end of Cylinder as well(5"). It Happens Because of Continually Rubbing From Rubber Blanket Direct to Impression Cylinder. This Thing Majorly Leads to Wrinkle Issues on Paper when you use Full Size Paper and Registration Issues.

Where Hard Chrome Cylinder don't have Such Problems.

    Please Take Note
    - There is a Huge Difference Between Chrome and Hard Chrome.
    - Normal Cylinders are Repairable.

Not really. Blanket doesn't touch impression cylinder and doesn't rubbing it.

    Hello Raf,
In India we Mostly Buy Second Hand Machines, In that Most of Machines we have Issues with Cylinder Pressure , its mostly Because Loose Bushes, Bearings and Barrels.
So we use to Run Machine at High Pressure, for Example if we are Running 48GSM Paper, we will run it at Zero or sometimes More Pressure.
I personally Invite you to India, I will Take you to Factory Visits.

Yes, Everyone Should be Aware of it.
But Sadly earlier we don't Have technical Tranning Center in India. But in Recent Years India Printing Community is Working on it.
Hopefully next Genration will be much more Knowelageful.

I've found that the chromed impression cylinders are a bit easier to clean. Seems like the gum in the fountain solution, and the ink outside of the sheets perimeter are less likely to get deeply impeded in the smoother surface of chrome.
