CGATS File Format Specification

Hi,

I am writing an library to import and export the CGAT file format, for one of our in house applications.
The problem I am having is trying to find a specification for the file format.

Can anyone help with this.

I'm not really sure about what your looking for but http://npes.org/Programs/StandardsWorkroom/ToolsBestPractices.aspx has a bunch of links to some different file formats on the CGATS page. Hope you find what you're looking for.

As we all know, ANSI created its own subcommittee for graphic arts called CGATS. It used the TIFF file format to start with.

Here’s the of TIFF/IT file specs:
Name : TIFF/IT
Type of data: bitmap only
Number of colours: 2
Colour spaces: none, since the format is already rasterized
Extension on PC-platform: .FP, .LW, .CT, .HC, .MP, .BL , .BP (each file has its own extension)

You can browse through the TIFF/IT file format specifications to have a better idea of CGATS file formatting.
