Hello But 5000 sheets per hour is not enough, I think you need to change the equipment on the sheet machine and you can easily print 8000-10000 sheets per hour.

For Metalized print on 60g-70g BOPP, PVC, and PP for IML labels we print at 5k -10k depending on the job.

There are tricks to running even IML at higher press speeds.

I think you can do it, just a good operator and patience. We print 70g offset, it's not easy, but we've mastered the subject because the operator has a lot of knowledge.

If the press is not a Hybrid and has only IR dryers, then if they print at very high speeds, wouldn't they have problems with the stacking due to the statics in the sheets?
Also, the ink wouldn't dry at all.
How do you print with all of those problems?

Printing on IML and other non porous substrates has been going on long before UV and hybrid technologies became significant. Grant it the new technologies made it alot easier but it was doable as far back as the early 80s or maybe even sooner. The key to success back then was what we refered to as Oxybind inks. I recall printing skid upon skid of a product called Kimdura with an old 4/c Roland Ultra with conventional dampening and nothing more than a very primitive infared delivery dryer. Grant it the press ran much slower and we had lots of start up waste but we got the job done.
