cd 74 2004 sheet arrival

the motor that changes the tension on the chain has stopped working and needs replaced. I assume that it would have to be zeroed before putting on new motor ? As of right now it is putting very little tension on chain as are sheets are arriving very late ( I assume more tension sheet arrives earlier less sheet arrives earlier ) . wondering if its easy to set this.

 

your not changing the tension of the chain to control the sheet release, your moving a cam. The correct, but costlier fix would be to troubleshoot the motor and replace if needed. Ive seen people opt for a more affordable fix, and change over the sheet release, from push button operated, motor driven cam adjuster to a manual adjustment that takes the buttons and motor out of the equation.

Checking you must put little tension 1-2mms Max for chain. that it!.
That is the adjustment for factory Heidelberg.
