I'm running a xerox 1000i with a fiery print server and I'm having an issue sending FreeForm VSP jobs to CWS. From freeform I can connect to CWS (Locally on the same physical computer) and it loads the pdf template to the HELD queue in CWS but the variable data file never appears. In FreeForm it just gets stuck on the loading screen when it sends the job and as far as I know, there is no way to export a complete PDF with all the VDP info (?)

According to good 'ol ChatGPT, we need to have the Fiery API running to allow freeform to send the variable data to CWS. However I was unable to verify if the fiery API was running because when I would go to the URL on the local server where I should have been able to check it, the page never loads and says connection refused.

I'm not sure if that is because the fiery API isn't running or because of a messed up networking configuration. It has two Ethernet connections, one to communicate with the press and one for Internet access. So as I understand, the local URL to check the fiery API is supposed to be something like xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:16161/version but I'm not sure if it's supposed to be localhost:16161/version or 100.100.100.2:16161/version (local ethernet network between fiery & press), or 172.16.0.32:16161/version (local Ethernet network from fiery to Internet via router).

It has worked fine before but now I just can't get it to work and I'm not sure what the cause is or what I'm even supposed to check to troubleshoot. I rarely use FreeForm and it's been a while (6 months) since I last used it but since then, the only changes on the press was I removed a USB Wi-Fi adapter I had with a hard line ethernet connection using one of the Ethernet ports on fiery. The other change was installing Color Profile Suite. Other than that, everything is showing as up to date in the software update manager The press isn't under any support contract.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions on what to check or what could be causing this issue?
