We have 2 Komori Presses. One is a 2001 LS straight 6 color 40 inch. The other is a 2005 6 color 2/4 Perfector 40 inch. On each press we have 1 unit that gives a toning stripe about 4 inches from the gripper on the gear side of the press. It's the 4th unit on the straight 6 and the 5th on the Perfector. We can get this strip to go away by turning off the brigde roller. We run non-integrated but have tried running integrated. We have replaced all rollers in the respective units. Any help would be appreciated.

Check again your roller settings. Is there a particular reason you want to run integrated? If removing the bridging roller solves the problem and you don“t need it leave it out.

Well if it's happening on two particular units then alcohol sub and so on really wouldn't affect that. It more than likely is a roller stripe may not be right. 4 inches from the gripper on an LS press would mean its from the dampening system. Do you also get a stripe about 4-5 inches after that initial stripe from the gripper. Or even some toning that starts at the first 4 inch stripe and then again 4-5 inches.
