Recently started working on a Ryobi 750, I am getting a problem with build up on the tail edge of the blanket from the tail edge of the plate from around 5000 sheets onwards

The manilla blanket packing is on how we recieved the press and actually wraps around both the leading edge and tail edge of the blanket cylinder. Should this be trimmed short from the tail edge?

    Any help grateful

Great, I presumed it should be but being new to the press wasn't sure if it was set up like that for a reason. Apparently just a previous lazy pressman who couldn't be bothered trimming the size down!

    Thanks for the advice

Heavy ink form setting or hard old rollers will also do ink splatter at the tail end. Many of the pressses I run the packing goes to the end and I don't have that issue. There are alot of lazy operators out there and ones that don't set the rollers properly, and they keep me busy fixing their lazyness.

    Good luck
