Black is printing very light on Xerox Docucolor 242

Black is printing very light. All other colors are solid. I replaced the black developer unit and developer about 100,000 copies ago. It started out with small black specks all over the sheets but black was still solid. I cleaned everything really good and then took out the developer unit to see how the developer looked. When I put the developer unit back in the black print became gray. Any suggestions? img014.jpg
