Best printer option for color/variabledata/speed and ONLY printing POSTCARDS?

hello mates! I am need of a printer solution and program that will enable me to print postcards
1)in color
2)duplex at the same time
3)quickly
4)good with variable data
5)either print just the cards or on a large 12postcard sheet and cut it down
6)along with printer what would be the best software?
cost is certainly a factor and my budget is on the relativley low end.
postcards is all that needs to be considered!

fleabay, for a second hand copy of corel draw. any one will do.
the printer depends on what quality, how many your printing per month

 

A good software to run variable data is fusion pro. But you also we need a good rip if you are planning on using variable Images and type. Good Luck

 

I haven't tried fusion pro before, I use bartender for my variable data it seems to do the job. with regards to the printer, try and find a refurbed one if your on a budget have a look around maybe post to some forums etc?

I have purchased printing equipment before given it a little refurb and then it worked as good as new for a fraction of the price.

look into auction sites / reposed equipment maybe.

alternatively it may be the most cost effective way of producing your print with a decent quality is to do a deal with a local printer - if your based in the uk I'm sure we could help.
