Any software to merge multiple copies of the same pdf?

I'm trialing a few imposition apps at the moment and CutePDF seems to do almost everything I need. The only thing it can't do is create a pdf consisting of multiple copies of 1 document repeated over and over.

The are loads of apps out there to merge pdfs, but none of them seem to cater for multiple copies. Does anyone have any suggestions please?

Quite Imposing does exaclty this, but it seems a bit of overkill getting both Quite and CutePDF when I'm only using Quite for merging multiple copies!

Thanks,

Gavin

With CutePDF Pro you can click Impose, set the number of rows and columns, and then set Repeat to Specified and enter the number of copies of each page. For simple tasks like n-uping a single postcard to cover a sheet, it works well for me.

  • Thanks Jeff, but I need to have multiple copies of the individual pdfs before I do the n-up imposing. The reason is that I have many double-sided postcard jobs, many require just 1 copy of the card, but many require 10, 20, 50, 100 copies etc. I want to create the initial pdf with, say, 1 copy of postcard A, 30 copies of postcard B, 10 copies of postcard C. Then when I 8-up impose it, all my day's jobs are in one nice, big, juicy document.

Yes, that is too complicated to do day in and day out with cutepdf pro. For the money it's a great multipurpose tool so I recommend it a lot for what it allows you to do for the price, but it doesn't have that kind of automation ability, doesn't allow scripting that I can tell, and if you have to use a few steps to accomplish a task, the lack of an ability to undo with a click can be cumbersome. Will follow this thread to see what others recommend.
