    Hi

I have a problem with Alcosmart AZR CAN II.
    1. When Warm-Up procedure is completed device still works properly for a few minutes. Works properly means- measures proper value of IPA and dosing IPA properly if needed.
    2. After these few minutes it goes suddenly to ERROR 04.
    3. On the attached picture of the electronic board, there is a description what happens at the moment when device goes to ERROR04 (ia. middle LED on the bottom board switches off, exactly at the moment when ERROR 04 appears).

All parts of device are clean, dampening solution flows properly through measuring cell, indicated temperature is ok before and after E04 appears, measured value of IPA is ok. Device goese to E04 independently if measured value of IPA is below, equal, or higher than Set Value.
    Any suggestions?

    Hi,
I'm quite wondering why you made this case so complicated. It was not necessary to break the warranty seal and take it part, as there is a chance to send these type of aclosmarts to technotrans and get them repaired with out any hassle. Anyway, it's too late. Error 4 states insuficient dampening solution flow inside alcosmart. There are some reasons as they come in a sequence in below:
1- Dampening solution connector not properly connected. Check the quick coupling behind alcosmart.
2- Dampening solution supply too low. a: Check the filter in the dampening solution circulation circuit of the dampening solution circulator and clean it if necessary. b: Open alcosmart lid and see if there is enough water inside and the floater is not stuck.
3- Float incorrectly inserted into float housing.
4- Outlet blocked. Clean the entire way from quick coupling to solenoid valve and to the end where the rubber hose is connected.
5- There could be exsessive alcohol inside the tank. Replace the dampening solution.

    Good luck

    Hello Palgolicho,

I do not remember the exact description of the LEDs however after you have made the initial checks like Mathew suggested take a look at the float proximity sensor, the black connector on the top left corner of the picture is where it is connecting, the wire seems to be pulled, don't know if that's causing the issue but I have seen these sensors fail before, error 4 is failure of the redundancy circuit could be caused by a faulty sensor along with the reasons Mathew mentioned, you can see the leds turn ON and OFF once you try bringing the float close and away from the sensor.

Under ideal flow the float should always be very close or touching the proximity sensor, if you can make sure the flaot is right at the top and in contact with the sensor after having done all the previous checks, put a 10k resistance across the black connector after disconnecting the sensor to test if the error comes up again, if the problem is related to the sensor the error shouldn't repeat.
