aqazi - do you have a degree wheel, arbor and zeroing flag? These are necessary to get the press to the proper degree to set the gripper opening time at
90 1/4 degrees. On presses built prior to CPTronics with no mid or zid display, it is not possible to set gripper timing without these proprietary tools. Good Luck, steve

Without the tools listed by Steve there really is no accurate way of adjusting grippers on your press. The best you can do is use a gripper that you feel is ok and adjust all others to it. Adjusting grippers this way however you have no way of knowing how much overlap you have between cylinders. You could be making whatever issue you have worse. Very risky without the proper tools.

another question is that how can I check the cam follower on impression cylinder....because there is no M8 threaded hole in the gripper bar like its on the newer models...

On this model, you must get under the follower lever with a ladyslipper (hooked bar) and lift up a bit to get the follower off the cam.

mqpress - what is a arbor and zeroing flag? could you send some pics? i'm having the same problem as aqazi81. But my machine is a GTO52 - 5 color offset machine by Heidelberg.

I hope for your positive response.

    Thank you.

The arbor, degree wheel and zeroing flag are tools issued to Heidelberg mechanics. I could send you pictures, but what good would that do?
