350gsm card print

Might be looking for a needle in a haystack here, but I am trying to find a desktop printer that will print low numbers of cards for proofs / small print run of business cards and postcards on 350gsm. (I am in the UK by the way) but would be interested in what models will do such a job without breaking the bank.

The problem is that most small inkjets are made to conserve desk space and thus have a curved paper path. You need a printer with a very straight paper path where the paper doesn't have to bend around a turn to go through the printer. Also small inkjets have notoriously small feed wheels

Look for any models with a straight paper path where the paper enters one side and exits the other side with as straight a path as possible.

 

Look for a secondhand Epson r2400. It can print 1.3mm with its straight through pass
