I have a PM52 that is printing ok but when the Numbering unit is installed, we note that the numbering unit doesn't go into impression. note the photo that when we press in lever it doesn't go in even after pressing it aggressively. what could be causing this to happen? please advise.

Hi sir
you may need to disassemble and inspect the numbering unit more thoroughly
Ensure that the numbering unit is properly seated in the designated position. If it's not fully locked in place, it won’t engage.
Look for any obstructions, such as debris, dried ink, or worn-out parts preventing proper movement.
If any part looks damaged or too loose, it may need replacement
check if any mechanical part (spring, cam, or linkage) is preventing it from moving properly.

  • The numbering unit engages through a cam system. If the cam is misaligned, it won’t engage the impression.
Check if the cam follower is moving correctly when the press runs. If not ,so Loosen the cam follower slightly, adjust its position then retighten it and test

thanks for your response as it got me looking more in depth at the linkage and I concluded that when the unit arrived someone must have turned the impression of the numbering unit, and this move the linkage that control the arm
which pushed the hole out of place for the numbering activation lever thus creating our inability to push in. I pried the linkage over towards the Delivery and inserted the lever and this made it remained in position for it to be utilized as designed. Much Thanks again for your assistance.
