We have a 2\c MO that is telling us that the sheet is crooked when it's not and shutting off. We have replaced both sensors and still haven't had any luck. We had service in and they couldn't find anything but didn't look that good either. It's almost like the sensors are to sensitive. This is driving us crazy! Any ideas?
    Serial #613-814

    Thanks

When service came in did they check to make sure the eyes were set correctly? very easy to set. Also make sure your head stops are not set too low. If you have one set too low this can create drag on a sheet causing it to lag behind can causing a crooked sheet. Quick way to check the headstops is make sure you can get 1 sheet under the headstop without drag and 2 sheets should go under with slight drag. Also check feeder timing to the press, and check your feeder head timing to the feeder. make sure your forwarding wheels are set correctly and evenly.

Yes on setting the eyes, everything was checked and seems to be right except the forwarding wheels. They were set like the manual said but the service tech said that it worked better the way he set them. The eyes plug into some type of device on the operator side, is it possible to check this on the cp tronic?

make sure you are not getting any reflection of the laser path from the ranger drum. out some black tape over any spots near the eyes to block reflection. you may have a work light shining to close to them as well.

after spending two shifts and a visit from local engineer ,re- setting feed timing/and sensors , the problem was solved by simply cleaning excess anti set
off powder from the gripper bar on infeed, the spray was telling sensors paper was arriving early/late.no trouble since.
