  1. Fountain addative HUV

You have a problem that is very common on Komori presses. Solution to it? No need to ask Komori, because it has never happened on any Komori.
  2. What is the difference between a 1988 vs. 1991 Heidelberg SM102 FP+L?

The main difference is that post Drupa 90 you have the new blanket washers that actually clean the blankets automatically, the older ones din´t. The other difference is that the feed drum was changed to a swing gripper. The output is vastly larger on the later version.
  3. ez turner pile turner

Pile turners has been used since early eighties in my country, but if the printer doesnt care to produce straight clean pallets it´s useless.
  4. Komori L640 1991 for Carton

It`s ok if you dont mind marking on the sheets.
  5. Inline Color Control

Meny - who on earth is this guy - brainwashed , ignorant or just a clown ? Could he possibly get up with any other answer than that Komori is the only functional press on the market. First question, for how long and how many systems has Komori on the market and how many do you think heidelberg...

Hi! Silicone treated powder could also be a problem.
  7. Kba 105 problem

If they still have the same construction as planeta, you can move the plate cylinders circumferentially by loosening screws just the way you moved platecylinders on older presses. Ask Rickard he can sure guide right.
  8. Tale won't push in to clamp when hanging on fourth unit before perfect or any ideas?

Same problem On our ls 840 we had the same problem the pushbar came up too fast so we had to change the " speedcontrollers " - on two units. The plates were not correctly inserted into the clamp, on either side there was a few centimeters that was not in the clamp. wiseguy
  9. SM102 8P Colour problem

Check that you don´t have a formroller oscillating, especially form 3 or 4. I experienced that problem with a form roller oscillating.
  10. Uncoated Papers drying problems

If you put liquid drier into the dampening it´s recommended to use it only in the last unit which means that you need separate water tanks. At least it was so when I used it, maybe 30 years ago. Now we use a H&S that dries in the press so we need to clean up every evening. But on the other hand...
  11. printing advice

Hi guys! when I used to print on a two colour press we always printed black and yellow first then cyan and magenta. Sometimes it was tempting to take a shortcut and run cyan in the first unit ( much easyer cleaning ) but if there was a blue sky there was a problem. So first increase the tack...
  12. Rubber mat beneath ATF Chief?

I know that many 10 inch presses used to stand on hockey pucks for that reason - but maybe they are not so easy to find in Hawaii. but any thick rubber mat does the same job. And the don´t pass on so much vibration to the floor because the printing is seated on coil springs what i can remember.
  13. Colour sequence on a two-colour press

When i was printing in two color presses we either started with black and yellow or cyan and yellow. Printing yellow first and then black in the same run never worked except in roland ultras in other presses it didnt work. If there was dark skyes we made sure to print magenta before cyan in the...
  14. Perf\Score Plate

HI - If u have the perflines on the imression cylinder put a plastic sheet insted of a blanket and u get a better result.
  15. Black Paper

This I don´t understand. I´ve been printing anything you can imagine on a SM 102 ( exept envelopes ). Are the sensors not capacitive type that indicates mass not the colour of the substrate. I have tinted paper black all over from both edges on both sides without problem. otherwise you can do...
  16. Perf\Score Plate

I´ve seen Heidelberg do that inline with magnetic segments that you attach to the coating cylinder. Just the same technique used on webpresses. The other technique is what you heard of, putting a very expensive plate on the coating cylinder. I think the plate itself is so expensive that you...
  17. Komori Lithrone 40 Hickeys

Well Richard - I think you just confirmed my opinion about the possibility of you changing your mind. I used to be impressed of Komori before I started working on them. I´ve heard in the last 20 years about how great presses Komori are - never a problem - put plates in the press push the button...
  18. Komori Lithrone 40 Hickeys

Okey! About Hickeys in Komori 40. I´ve been printing on presses from 10 to 78 inches and I have never seen so much hickeys in my life as I have since I started printing on Komori 40. There is not only maintenance - there is also mechanical differences that have influences on the amount of...
  19. Getting a Lithrone 528 - what should I look out for?

Gday mate ! Okey letme tell you my first live experience of Komori. I arrive at a new working site meeting a guy that starts to tell me an endless list of donts. For example - make sure there is not somethig under your feeder table because if you lower the table in that case you are going to...
  20. Cam followers needed

Hi ZAB ! I have been in the same situation as you and find out that you can not buy them from NTN because they simply don´t exist in their stock list so we had to buy them from Komori at fourteen times the price of a standard cam follower.
