Blanket and Roller Wash_BLITZ Vs VM111

Regular roller wash should not be an issue as long as it is compatible with you rubber rollers. Heidelberg recommends using FOGRA approved washes.

Heidelberg QM DI 46 "malfunction main drive"

If the press starts to run before it stops it is possibly a couple of things, I will list them in the order the most likely problem: 1. The delivery chains are loose / stretched and the gripper bar is hitting the overshoot sensor in the delivery. This happens on old machines in which the chains...

    Delivery Table

Exactly what Jan said to do. When the optical eyes are covered with powder they tell the press (ZTK Board) the delivery pile is already up. Hence the pile will not raise.

Replacing laser diode with used one

Typically there was a label on the diode with a power value written on it when you bought a new one. The ones that came in the press did not have any values on them because they were set in the imaging head. It is really just a crapshoot where you start with the number. You can look at what the...

    QMDI Classic Vacuum Pump

It is not unusual for the filter to look that way. It is just graphite from the vanes of the pump. The pump is configured correctly , as the shaft turns the vanes slide out and run against the wall of the compressor, this forces the air towards the exhaust side of the pump, the vanes retract...

    QMDI PRO Unit #4 Toning

There are a few things that can cause this: 1. You are printing on uncoated paper. (Tough to fix, try increasing the tack of the ink.) 2. Blanket overpacked in that unit. The bearers are undercut .090" if the blanket is over this by .002" or more it will prematurely wear the plate causing it to...

    Malfunction safety circuit

My guess is the gripper bars in the delivery are hitting the delivery jam switch while the plates are loading. This is typically caused by the delivery chains being worn out and stretched.

There is not. The plate cylinder is stationary.

    QMDI CLASSIC Won't print

How are you checking that they are leaking? They do not sometimes work and other times not. The Short Stroke Pistons have two directions, you have to check each direction by removing one airline. It is possible for it to work one direction and leak in the other direction. When you remove the...

    TONING ON UNIT 1

I do not recommend turning the temperature down below 21 C. The cooling system also cools the electronics and can cause condensation on the Imaging Heads and in the LDM's. If your other inks work, stay with what you have.

    DI haults while burning plates

Technically the tensioners are self-adjusting, although, using a pin wrench, you can open the gap the spring is in to apply more tension to the chains. The spring gap is set at the factory to 31mm. If it is over 35mm you will need new chains.

QM46 valves going out does anyone know where to get just the valve not the assembly

My apologies for not being clear about the valve. (Good catch Junker1984) I was talking about the pistons the valve operates. Some background information on why Heidelberg does not sell parts of assemblies. Heidelberg has found over the course of 170+ years, in a majority of instances it is...

    DI haults while burning plates

What Mr. Heidelberg said... Also, go to these posts: https://www.colorprintingforum.com/threads/loss-of-burn-enable-repairs.2557/#post-8899 https://www.colorprintingforum.com/threads/press-stops-burning-half-way-through-cycle.5777/

QM46 valves going out does anyone know where to get just the valve not the assembly

The valve is probably not the problem. They rarely fail.
