  1. Newbie requiring a little help with booklets please

Right in that case the Indesign route using the "Print Booklet" feature is the way to go imposition wise. Once thats created just make sure that when you print the file on the Xerox that its print order is "N to 1" and "Face Up". Thats all I can recommend as I've not had any experience with that...
  2. Newbie requiring a little help with booklets please

Hi, Are you using Command Workstation with your Fiery? If so there is an "Impose" feature that lets you create an imposed file set up in printers pairs ready for a booklet maker. (See attached) You just need them to be individual pages contained in a single PDF file, no need to worry about...
  3. digital press limitation?

Xerox sell pre cut business card stock so that you just push them out when printed. I'd imagine thats fairly expensive though!
  4. I-Gen EXP Users

I would just keep putting calls out until fixed its clearly not right. Plus the fact its all Xerox stock too!
  5. I-Gen EXP Users

We had a few issues with backing up when we first had it but found a good sweet spot when switching between SRA3 and an XL sheet. Never had any timing issues and we run a variety of stocks and weights. Runs like a dream (most of the time) just wish we had the XL stacker installed!
  6. fine lines

Been there done that and got the t-shirt :)
  7. fine lines

Are they in the process direction, perfectly straight and vary in length as well as position? If so your donor rollers on the dev tanks may need replacing as they can cause this symptom.
  8. Magenta spitting...again

We had this in a few colours, ended up cutting a bit from a spare transport belt and placing it between the pipe. Works brilliantly!!
  9. Polyester film issues

Has the film got a white strip along the edge so that the iGen can see the sheet? If it is just transparent then the sensors won't pick anything up and the iGen will think it's a misfeed.
  10. Overprinting Pre-Printed Sheets on iGen4

Had the job re-printed with a white boarder around the edge this time. Has been running like a dream all day. Although interesting about what you guys said about the sensors, may get them looked at next time an engineer is around.
  11. Overprinting Pre-Printed Sheets on iGen4

The black goes all the way to the edge unfortunately. I'll try cleaning the sensors again in the morning and give it another go. Thanks for the tips Mark.
  12. Overprinting Pre-Printed Sheets on iGen4

Hi there, Struggling with a job at the moment where I am trying to print a code on some pre printed litho sheets. The sheet is black all over with a few white boxes where the code goes. Started off not too bad and ran nearly 300 sheets no problems, but then really struggled. Now it prints 1...
  13. Need Help

I've had that problem also in the past and got the wiring altered. I will try and get a good photo of the band next time I see it.
  14. Need Help

Yep a belt change does the trick. I've tried changing all the bits in the cleaner, giving the ATA a good clean but it still comes back. It looks like an impression from around the ATA area could it be that the belt is getting over stretched?
  15. Need Help

I get this occasionally too, I think it comes on when the machine has been sat doing nothing overnight?
  16. copy quality issue...have not seen this one before

How far out is it? The colour does change slightly each time the iGen cycles down. Also what RIP are you using as we had some trouble with our Fiery not holding any colour corrections that we made.
  17. Need default passowrd for PSP - Igen 3

Normally just a restart clears that error?
  18. Igen4 Xpe-10-3307 error loop involving Xpe-08-3230

I had this last week the engineer just replaced the interlock switches on the fuser door and one to the right of the fuser.
  19. Igen4 Xpe-10-3307 error loop involving Xpe-08-3230

You normally get a jam in 2 if you open any of the doors or interrupt it before the green light has gone off when its cycling down.
  20. Color manipulation on the Fiery.

I have trouble with that too. I process and hold the file edit the curves in image viewer save then submit from the ripped file. I find it to be hit and miss sometimes it works sometimes not. Its really frustrating when you proof a job with the colour just how you want it then submit the job and...
