  1. QMDI plate wash up

We have replaced the MOSS Rubber which helped but the real issue was our pressman was not putting enough ink on the press rollers on start up in the morning. The plates need a fair amount of ink on them to do a decent job of removing the silicon during the plate wash cycle.
  2. Coupling rod plastic stops

    Thanks, we will replace.
  3. Coupling rod plastic stops

Do they act a a cushion when the plate cylinder goes on impression? Looking at the stop brackets when on impression they go all the way to the hard stop without the pad just wondering how that is possible if running bearer to bearer?
  4. QMDI Stops after plate clean before blanket wash

The problem turned out to be that our operator had not actually cleaned the screens (filters) but had just been tapping them to clean them. We flushed them clean and the press no longer stops during the wash cycle.

Jan, We are going to tear into this tomorrow morning. I do know that the plates are not cleaning up very well and has nothing to do with water flow as we keep the tubes clean. We are going to check the bladders on the plate cleaners but again, I think we should have been able to isolate a...
  9. QMDI Stops after plate clean before blanket wash

SF71-all vaccums go into high and the bags are puffed up tight when we turn "on". Occassionally it makes it through the blanket cycle and SF71 is on and then it will turn itself "off" when completed. The problem then is that it did not actually clean the blanket even though it went through the...

  15. Plate release and take up not responding on Classic

reading the CP Tronic book it looks like 2M2 Printing master magazine load motor or 2Y1 Clutch for load motor may be going bad. Any thoughts?
  16. Plate release and take up not responding on Classic

Both. It is worse as the roll gets smaller (I believe requiring more pulling power). It seems like a motor is losing it's strength.
  17. Plate release and take up not responding on Classic

We are having an issue on our "Plus" the cyan plate tensioner is not pulling the plate tight. We have a parts book out but not sure what may be the cause. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  18. Konica Minolta 6500 Pro Image Ghosting Issue

We recently had some service work done on our 6500 by an authorized Konica Minolta Service provider for another reason but we now have Ghosting on about 50% of our work. When ever we have a heavy black line (illustration of a floor plan) with 4-color next to it you will see a ghost image or the...
