    Good Afternoon,
In house maintenance here, just started at this plant so I’m not familiar with this machine but not a new mechanic. Please excuse the ignorance with terminology. I have an older Polar 115 EMC showing 92 on display. I don’t believe the safety pin is retracting. The blade is also not parallel with the cutting strip, left side is dipped down. I can move the blade off the pin, to TDC with the manual knife cycling procedures, but no movement and same error on start up again. I only have an operators manual, anybody have a link to a full service manual?
Any tips and help is greatly appreciated. Thanks and Have a great day!

lube the shaft of safety bolt very well, with Graphite(secret).

Test the terminals of safety bolt for + 42 Vdc, if there are ??????? if NOT look for the fuse and replace it.

By other side, maybe your paper cutter has limit switch and NOT sensor, clean very well the limit switch, and test the contact if there are o.k ,tight very well the wires, and replaces if necessary......!!!!
If his model , has a sensors, please see if the small Leds are ON, or OFF( faulty) replace. adjust however the sensors, by 0.7mms of distance with a feeler gauge.

    Let me know.

Thanks for the replies and the help. I was able to get it going. After verifying 42v at safety pin during a cut cycle, and no movement, I started there. Pin was dirty and stuck, at the time I did not know it was supposed to move freely. After cleaning, pin moved freely and machine is cutting again. Thanks for all your help!!

We are getting the 92 error, If the fuses are good and we are not getting 42 volts at the terminals at the safety bolt, where do we go from there?

We lost the digital screen, and then it would not get power, we called a tech and they told us we lost our 42 volts, we found a disconnected wire and we were able to reconnect and get the 42 volts back for the digital board, everything started up, we went to make a cut and the blade will not engage. We get an error 92.

Safety bolt is not moving when we go to engage the blade. We have checked the terminal and are only getting 10-12 volts when engaging the blade.

The safety bolt moves fluidly when we manually move it.

We have hand cranked the blade to get it reset to the highest point. We are only able to turn so far, then we have to engage the safety bolt manually to get the blade all the way around.

None of this has helped. I am hoping someone out there can help.

    Hi sir:

the error 92 is problem with the safety bolt: look for this:
Check the safety bold for mechanical stiffness in its movement. LUBE WITH GRAPHITE!

    2) check swith Monitor S.SB IF are ok or faulty and connection accordint with the wiring diagrams.

    3) test for Overheating( not Burning) and replace it if necessary, measure + 42 Vdc!
