Polar 137 EMC display replacement

So I have this 1991 Polar 137 EMC, the monitor have died and been fixed countless times over the past 15-20 years by several different technicians. For a long period, I have also used a black and white CRT TV while I was finding technician to fix the original display.

Yesterday, the monitor died again and I'm thinking of replacing it with an LCD, I know this can be done. I have tried to replace it once, but the technician brought a converter and a CCTV monitor with a weird screen resolution. The image was cut off at the right side and there was no way of adjusting it, so we ended up using the TV again.

But I have seen people use modern LCD display and the image is displayed correctly (see attached photos), what kind of converter do I need to use to to do this? I know the Polar video board has several outputs including a BNC(?) connector, which I used to connect to the B&W TV. Can I just use a BNC to VGA converter to connect to an LCD display? What LCD resolution do I need to get? Will 1280 x 720 work?

Yes, you can use a "BNC" to VGA converter instead of a CRT monitor, as well as to refuel your diesel engine with an A98-Premium petrol, mixed back with lower oil fractions, I hope.

But the most easy and reliable way to solve the problem, is to use CRT Monitors for such machines, which are still availble.

You can use it with a 17 inch LCD TV and BNC to AV converter without any problems.
