Have a Polar 76 EM which have error 86. It usually happens after it is not use for a very long time. Sometimes problem is intermittent. From the forum I have read the following

    Error 86 meaning:
A static discrepancy does exist between the outputs of both cutting circuit channels (HK and IAR). LED`s V2 and V3 on the board KK (supervisor) are lit up permanently. Yes V2 and V3 KK board lit up permantly

    Remedy:
Check the fuse holder for fuse F4. - I have checked fuse is ok
    - It is on the left side where the big transformer for the power supply is located
    Check voltage +42 V on plug CU9.2. - The voltage 67.5 volts.

Would this higher voltage of 25.5 volts cause intermittent error 86. What is the solution or remedy for this.

Thank you in advance for any help.

    Hi sir:

Please proceed is this way, I believed you are wrong :

    1) +42 Vdc, must be ther in CU 9.2, if you have 25.5 Voltage, is indicating that you problem with the Input Vca for Bridge Rectifier, You must measure the output of Main Transformer in his wiring electrical diagrams, and measure the Input of machine, according the ID plate of his machine: 220Vca or 380 or 400Vca, and incre the Tap of primary of transformer, in order to increase the secondary.

    2) If everything is o.k, please test again the output fo bridge rectifier for +42 Vdc, and see if good? if NOT, after you previously test the Voltage output of secondary of transformer according with the wiring electrical diagrams, the bridge rectifier, can be faulty, by leaking, or semi- open.... Look behind if there are some Dry +colder solder joint. ??????

    Let me know, any question.

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply, plug CU9.2. - The current voltage 67.5 volts, its more than 25.5 volts over the normal voltage of 42 Volts, this what I meant.

Is the remedy you mentioned the same. Would over voltage cause error 86 ?

    Hear from you soonest.

The faulty is bridge Rectifier, proceede as I did indicated before, very carefully.

You have OVERVOLTAGE in the INPUT, and secondary of main transformer, test as previously did indicated.

Previous tech who check plug CU 9.2 is not available, so another tech came to check he said its reading 42V, but I think he is wrong this is how he checked the back of the mother board containing the cards, see attached, he checked voltage on the pins located at the side of the mother board ( with inscription 40 Volts , I think he is wrong, it should be the plug with the number 9. Can you tech locating of plug CU 9.2 and how to check voltage. Thanks in advance
