Hello. I'm relatively new to the trade, and am finally starting to take over the press I'm running. Throughout the years it's had multiple operators and to some it was just a job and they never really took much pride in the appearance of the press. I was just wondering if anyone has any tips on getting rid of old ink (some probably older than me haha..) from the body of the press without damaging the paint. I've tried all sorts of different things in little test spots and they all seem to somehow affect the paint making it worse not better or just doesn't stand a chance against the aged ink.

    Things I've tried:
Blanket wash-works good on fresh ink doesn't stand a chance against old ink
Blanket wash and elbow grease-barely works and seems to affect the paint.
Metering roller cleaner - works too well, attacks the paint
Rejuvenator - same as above ^
Lots of other things have been tried as well but I would love to hear suggestions!! I want to clean this up and take pride in it!

    It's a 1996 SM-74 2

    Thanks a bunch!
