Press stops/won't start

Hello, Our CD 102-6+L 2003 Has the intermittent problem of just stopping or won't start. the Dyn codes are S-TTK FFEF and S-BLT CON BFFF. There are no ground fault errors (the F260) The Encoder is New from Heidelberg they installed it. The bLt board is good we have a sm 102 and tried swapping it, not avm board it's different from cd to sm. When the Press is started sometimes it runs fine it might stop once in a day, we restart then runs fine. Sometimes it will not start . I just put the safety on, after the beeping is done you'll hear the brake engage then disengage immediately then the code comes up. If this happens it will not start even after numerous restarts. However, if I let it sit overnight it will start right up and run all day. I blew out the brake through the little hole in front of the housing and the plastic screw on the side a lot of dust came out. Is there a memory board to discharge.

 

Have you monitored the power supply into the press for dips or spikes?

 

It sounds as if your brake disc requires replacement. If brake is slipping upon pre-run self test, and press moves more than 4 degrees (?), the press will lock out.

2) S BLT CON = BFFF
MSK sends signal failure, and Press STOP.

However, I Strongly recommend you do NOT overlook, to reheating the complete Backplane , for Dry+Colder joint solder. !

 

The brake must be cleaned, the wear of the brake accumulates dust which can cause this problem, it is a frequent problem
Try cleaning the main engine drive belt as well, oil and dust are causing slippage.
If this slippage is more than 4 degrees the machine stops automatically
Conclusion: check and clean the brake and the springs + check and clean the main and tender drive belt if necessary

Hello, on the self test the brake does not move or slip at all. I did blow it out and alot of dust came out, along with the motor.

 

Hello, I've taken out the blt 5 board many times early on Heidelberg Electricians found a dark spot with resistors, they soldered them, but later on we had the same spot on the board completely resoldered with all new resistors.

 

So on Monday, the Press would not start at all, many restarts, nothing. Let the Press sit off I came back 9 hours later and started it and it ran perfectly for 10 hours of production. This is Wednesday now. Started it up running for a few minutes then stopped just idling. Restart, It would run for a couple of minutes, feeder on speed up to 7 then just stop. This happened 4 times. Finally, I went to the control cabinet, powered it off, unplugged every connector and every breaker, and reseated every board, all the connectors on the blt 5/avm board. One more blow out of the brake. I made this a start-up habit after a complete boot of C P 2000 safety on the delivery push /beep/brake release/brake lock. I would do this 20 times then start the press turn on the feeder and let it run at 7 0r 8 for 10 to 15 minutes then start some Production. Today Thursday did this ran perfectly for another 10 hours.

 

Hello, again the only thing I haven't done is to take the brake out and inspect it internally. I am positive the encoder is working properly. I've checked the cable that goes the brake to the blt board.

Will be a great idea, to Reheating all the board, for dry solder+colder joint , this happen very frequently in all electronic troubleshooting.

Do it, with station of reheating for Resolder Electronic board for Cellulars phone, and apply many Flux, and then Paste for solder carefully.

 

Hello,Chock. We had the BLT board resoldered, the press ran for 20 seconds then shut off, same codes . A new board is coming from Heidelberg. To be continued. Thanks.

 

Ok, possible damage;
1) IGBT transistor

2) Rectifier.

3) Thyristor.
