Hi all,i am currently using a 4 colour Ryobi and am experiencing a error message (error E002) encoder input. We replaced the encoder with a new one from ryobi internanal and the problem still persists. WHAT can i do to fix this issue as the press wont Run and keeps cutting off.

    Hi sir
Normally when this happen, the timing switch is problem.
Check his schematic diagrams and fix it.
Of course you must sure if the Enconder is installed correctly, and the inverter is the parameter o.k

Hi there, thanks for your response. Can you please tell me were the timing switch is located? What should the parameter read for the inverter? Thank you most kindly.

Sorry i did not have Internet, until now in my country Nicaragua. C.A.
I do not have Schematic diagrams for that machine
However in his schematic diagrams in Location components appear where is
    located.

    Hi sir;

You must sure that encoder shaft coupling is not Loose, and NOT problem with the encoder !

Thanks for the quick reply CHOCK. As a bit of a background on my situation the code on screen I have says "1st tower encoder. Encoder input error. There is no input from the encoder of 1st tower though the press motor is turned ON. OR the drive motor does not rotate although the CPU rotate the drive motor."

I swapped 1st tower encoder and 2nd tower encoder around to see if a faulty 1st tower encoder was the issue but once they were swapped the message still said it was the 1st tower.

Up until a few days ago I would get this error everyday, but after restarting the press sometimes I could rotate the press and run a job or two, but the next day the error 002 wouldn't rotate the press again. Now I can't move the press at all. I also have "err." blinking on my inverter as soon as I turn press power ON.

    1) test the inverter input ; R+S+T voltage input if there in the range, whatever voltage do you have 220Vac, 380vAC, 400vAC, THEN output ; U+V+W is there are in the range for main motor , and if there are Voltage??

    2) if the there are NOT voltage, possible you need to reenter the parameters for the Inverter, since you say have ; err??

    3) You must try to adjust the encoder, and measure if has output , otherwise possible you need to Resolder the backplane for Dry +colder joint solder.

also "222" is on the small operation screen by feeder. Does that tell any more information?

It turns out my inverter was shot. We had raided another 3404 for parts a couple years ago and one of the parts we pulled off it was an inverter. Lucky for us as MarkAndy wants 10k for one. I installed it, wired it in and now we are back running. Thanks for your help.

We are getting error E-025 laser unit imaging error. GUI code 268460109. NSA code 1000604D "laser shunt relay open error" Do you have any experience with this? How to fix? Can't image

Please Reset the Cpu or Microprocessor in the Main Board, or MOBO.

Attached is my schematic how to do it.

However some machines, have smal Button for to RESET, in color black, normally RYOBI, they have, look for that small button in the MOBO, or Main board(where is the CPU), IF does NOT have , proceed with my own Schematic.

You must see if; 1) if the Regulated Power supply Vcc, in the tolerance, normally 0.7% uP or down, otherwise the Reset will not work....!!
    2) test the CLOCK for Cpu, IN MHZ, otherwise, the Reset will NOT work,

    Good luck.

Thank you, to be clear, what is the MOBO and VCC? And where do I find them?

    1) MOBO=Motherboard, is where is the CPU or Central Processor Unit or Microprocessor(called for others) is Stored

    2) Vcc = is The Regulated Power Supply for to Feed , the CPU or Uprocessor, MUST BE in 0.7% up or down, VERY IMPORTANTE!!!! otherwise, will NOT work the RESET!

    3) CLK= Clock for the CPU or Uprocessor, in MHZ, you must test with some Multimeter that has for measure Frequency or Oscilloscope, or Frecuencimeter.....!!!!

    Good luck

Great thankyou I will test the VCC. What is the set voltage of the VCC supposed to be at so I know if it tests intolerance? Also Where can I find the cpu clock? And once those are complete your schematic says to take live wire and ground it? Can you explain the schematic in further detail please?

Please disregard last message. I replaced laser board with spare that I had, making sure to save all settings and parameters on a usb to upload once I replaced board. After wards I finally successfully imaged a plate with no errors BUT middle (zone 3) laser module did not image at all. I tried a different laser module and imaged a second time, same thing. Any ideas?
