Random "smear/streak/artifact" in process direction?

Hi team, I'm hoping there's enough active members to give me some ideas on what this issue could be the result of.

So I have two iGen 5's here. One of them for the past couple of years has had an issue that occurs in cyan where I'll get an inconsistent smear (images attached) in the process direction. It tends to appear after twenty or so impressions in varying sizes and positions on the sheet. It'll come and go within a run too.

Our technicians can't seem to pinpoint the cause but have heard it may be ozonic in nature.

The second iGen 5 has a very similar issue but in the magenta. Doesn't have streaks as large as the first iGen but look more condensed/span less distance (will try and find a sample).

As an operator there's nothing worse than having an issue that even the technicians can't remedy and constantly having account managers and clients complaining about it.

So has anyone seen something similar and have any ideas on how to resolve this problem?

    Cheers

The cyan resembles the pre transfer grid possibly flicking or flipped on one edge. I have found issues with the tubing behind the toner hoppers around the ozone filter assys of being disconnected or lose and causing ozone issues. It usually shows up in magenta FPHT50% pattern

Thanks Milo. I'll definitely look into these tubes you speak of. It's funny today I was thinking the streak in the second image looked like a grid touching. You reckon that'd cause the issue in the first image too?

    Always appreciated mate.
