HELLO fellow printers I am currently working on cd 74 on night shift the day pressman likes to leve oscillate on first third and 4th forms I feel this is not best for color/water balance not to mention ink riding on bearer any thoughts appreciated.

As far as i know about Heidis 1st and 3rd form rollers oscillate if you have ghosting issues in solids else no form roller should oscillate as you could have toning issues and a higher use of water to avoid it.

I agree with nantman, in your normal jobs don't turn form rollers into oscillation except some special jobs.

Usually you have to work with fixed form rollers but you can oscillate the rollers to correct the ghosting problem and the (T) problem but this is just a troubleshooting because there is a risk of damaging the printing rollers.

You should not allow the last form roller (4th) on a Heidelberg to oscillate. As a matter of routine I would not allow any of them to move in their cup unless I was trying to minimize a form related ghost.
