LE UV vs Conventional UV dryer

    Hello everyone,
    Does any body has knowledge and experience with LE UV? I need to know more about curing process of these system on normal UV inks and varnishes?

    The lamp output of the iron doped lamp is of a narrower wavelength compared to a mercury vapor lamp and runs at a lower power level. Typical installation uses only 1 lamp to cure with on a straight press. If all of your work is 4-color process on paper substrates with an occasional coating this is a great configuration. If your work mix is beyond this you will quickly find the limitations of this set-up.

    Most of the energy savings is by running only 1 lamp.

    A conventional mercury vapor UV press can cure with only 1 lamp also, yielding nearly the same power usage if run in that configuration. When additional curing stations are called for they can just be turned on.
