I always had trouble with soy inks, they don't repel water well and after a few thousand impressions they break down after the heat/friction exchange between the ink rollers. I REALLY don't care for vegetable based inks, it doesn't mill well. I still say only Europeans know how to craft ink the old fashion way. I'm partial to oil based, but most of the rubber based are good too. We are using Zipset which is made in Japan, it's ok, I still prefer European inks. You can't beat Gibbon's, a carbon based ink made in the UK. They make the most beautiful black ink on Earth, the density and luster is seconded to none, very durable, heat resistant, mills to a great shine on the rollers, dries well, the best black ink I ever used. For color, I like Van Son, a Dutch company though their inks seem a bit thick it's easy to doctor them up with varnish or tact reducer. Their pigments are really brilliant and stable. I never liked Gans, it's too tacky and too thin bodied, I was always afraid to add tack reducer even though it needed it. It was like printing with glue, the picking was awful.

I used Platinum's famous permanent waterproof ink. Platinum Carbon Ink is pigmented ink suitable for fountain pens - for documents, drawings (including line and wash) and general-purpose use.

The ink with bluish-violet light is the best, followed by black, and the ink with red-yellow light or white is the worst.

Hi, We was using Toyo Mx untill now, but the the company that marketed toyo no longer does, now I try to look a new conventional ink, but is so difficult to value it, I have tried with toka but it convinces us, now I Now I'm going to try K+E Bio Supreme 900.
Is anyone using this ink to tell me how it works?, I will continue trying, but after many years with Toyo now I have to start from 0, I would appreciate your recommendations.
Thanks (sorry for my bad English, I´m from Spain)
