    I think he's speaking of the abrasive surface strip that is epoxied in place on the inside surface of plate clamp bars. If so, he'll be hard pressed trying to buy them, Heidelberg factory never offered them up for sale before. Removal of plate clamps and resurfacing would be the way to go.

    There are a number of suppliers that may be able to help you.....Pressparts in the UK for example

    you could disassemble the clamp and have a knurl machined into the inside of the clamps surface. Any competent machine shop should be able to do the job. Save yourself some money and clean the clamp up yourself with either paint stripper, or some form of blast media.

    My problem is the clamp Strip is damaged; plate is not gripped in clamp. Set properly is sleeping (?). Any alternative solution for this problem

    And, I think the only solutions to the issue that actually exist are more involved than he's willing to undertake. Nitin, there are no "quick fixes" for this issue. Removal of clamps and repair or replacement is your only option.
