Difference docucolor 260 and WorkCentre 7665

Hi,

Anyone tell me if there is any difference between the docucolor 260 and theWorkCentre 7665??. They have the same look and specifications..

Can anyone help or suggest best similar product?

DC260 is a graphic arts quality machine. It offers high gloss printing and can be bustled with a rip such as a creo spire or firey. If your doing Graphic Arts go with the 260. If you doing office color the 7665 will do fine.

 

Anyone know if the 7665 deals with JDF at all? I want one for the customer area, but want to use it for production when I am in a pinch...

 

dc 260 have advance color management and professional print controler for color consistency, ws7665 dont hav. it only for office use, dc260 for professional printing

 

Xerox makes their own controller for the 7665, not as robust. Also, the 7665 has scanner and other features, where the 260 offers no scanning.

 

The 260 offers no scanning - really? I find that hard to believe since the slower models in the 242/252/260 lineup do offer scanning.

 

Scanning is available in the Docucolor 240/242 family.

i am rather lazy to take a look at specifications for various dc models, but we have a dc 250 and we scan every day...

 

Dc260 is an entry to production colour while 7665 is an office colour
