    Hello guys,

I have an issue with my hp indigo 5000.
Some times when i go to ready, for the first time in the morning a lot of imaging oil drops everywhere where the blanket is.
Only does it in the first start, after i dont have the problem in all day, so i dont think its because of a pipe its tap.

    Any suggestion? thanks

Look at the foam gasket on the itm hood where it seals to the suction fan in the side frame. I was having this problem with my 3050 and we noticed the gasket was torn. Problem went away after replaced. Also, do a flow calibration.

What image oil filters are you using? HP tech bulletin switched to a new style filter # B1B32A long life filters for the 5XXX series. These ended all image oil foaming and overflow issues we were having. Old style filters were crap. Also dump and clean both recycled and fresh IO tanks. Fill with fresh IO. We do these every 3-4 ink tank rebuild cycles. After first filter change do new about 300k. We get now like 500K before it starts again. Kringle has good advice too be sure to check everything. Tape from the PIP lead edges can get sucked into the feed hose and clog it causing overflows too. So be careful peeling those off. There's a easy way to do the flow cal but not HP recommended. Probably because it's too easy. :)

check the cleaning station oil exit
check the tube in the back of the machine if its clug
if every things looks good in you still have the problem bypass the auto color calibration than do the color calibration manual you will be fine
