    Hello,

I have been having an issue with the UV inks im using on the Roland 200 on PVC sheets.

When I start to print from the first sheet. The UV ink start to accumulate on the Plate Water Form Roller (quantity depends on the design from the plate). This problem is causing an unstable, uneven printing and color variation throughout the job. The more I run the machine with the impression on, the more the accumulation occurs on the water form roller, the stronger the colors get on the printed sheet.

I have stabilized the Dampening Solution to have the following:
    1- IPA 8%
    2- pH 4 to 4.5
    3- Conductivity 1200 - 1400 micro Siemen

and still it doesnt show any difference. I tried using different inks with the recommended factors for the fountain solution, but no luck. (Keep in mind, that with the ink stacking on the water form roller, the printed image is clear with no signs of toning or staining)

    Any advice?

Try IPA 10 and PH 5-5.5
    Also try Integration.
    It can help.

I have tried increasing the IPA level to 10% and the pH to 5.5 but the result is the same.

What do you mean by integration?

Btw, I am using Apollo UV inks for PVC printing. Do you have any suggestions for UV inks?

I hear this brand for the first time. Try changing the ink.

Integration would be an intermediate or integrator roller that oscillates side to side, that would connect the water form roller to the 1st ink form roller. Not sure if that is an option on your press but if it is I would say that you would greatly benefit from this.

The only way to integrate on this roller train would be a McKinley roller similar to ink up roller on sm102 only it's made of copper and probably hard to find
