Hello everyone, I have a Polar 66 and it always had this problem but now it is getting worse. I adjust it, I put the eccentric in 2 for example, I cut and the blade becomes loose, it goes down to 1 and of course it does not finish the cut well. I have to put it back to 2 with the key. It's quite annoying, does it happen to anyone else?

    Hi sir:

Please do this steps and test:

    1) Test the power supply in the section power supply unit:a( +24Vdc b) +5Vdc c)+12Vdc in tolerance 0.7% up or down. otherwise, you must replace the electronic board or repair very well. very Important!!!!!

2)in the Cutting board card SK, please check the following LEDs
V84 LED red normally OFF Cycle for cutting circuit transformer clamping Y 27+K1M
V86 LED red- normally OFF Cut button correctly actuated( within 0.5seg)
V87 LED red -normally OFF simulator for control for SB(Safety Bolt)
v77 LED Yellow normally OFF Knife rising
V78 LED Yellow normally ON knife descending

    3) This machine has a device new in the POLAR called: Knife Upstroke control
There 4 cam disks, numbered 1-4.
They can be turned up 20 mms to Stop the knife, exactly in the upper dead place
The proximity switches are number too 1-4 with 0.6-0.8 mms, you must test if they are o.k a) voltage b) if they are working.
You must adjust the cam disks, by proof and error.

Remove upper cover on rear of machine 4 screws and lift up sliding it passed the clear rear table cover.
On rear of knife beam is a small hex screw to the rear of the front adjustment hex key shaft
You will need a second pair of hands to hold clamp manually down and hold the t key so you can undo the counter sunk screw.
Then remove the disc from back and strip into its parts and clean with a degreaser.
Replace in reverse using a little locktite to retain screw.
You can inspect the friction disc pad when apart but it’s likely the greasing of the knife beam has transferred into the plates.

    regards
